National Education should equip us to act as Citizens of this great country, which stretches from Himalayas to Kanya Kumari. Our great leaders have impressed on us the concept of the unity of the Nation following the practice of ‘United we stand divided we fall’.

No one can be said to be truly educated if his knowledge is limited to one special branch. Further, the University should act as torch bearer in promoting good qualities among students leading to all-round development in their character and career. Our goal should be the promotion of creativity, inquisitiveness, innate wisdom, maturity and generosity among the youth. The more we think in the light of this perspective, we can develop the State and the Nation with skilled personnel of global standard. This will be our goal.

Kolhan University in a short span has achieved many a milestone from job oriented course, examination pattern to skill development. But many more things are to be done to reach the new height and enviable grade. It is only possible by the all-round development of our students and all stakeholders equally. Attempts should be made to achieve the target set for every academic year. For this we have to adher to time limit as reflected on Academic Calendar.

I firmly believe in the notion “where there is a will there is a way”. It needs strong determination, self-less endeavour and deep sense of positivism. I am with you all to give my best for the total development of our University and development of State as well.

I shall take appropriate measures for promoting quality in teaching, teaching process in inter-disciplinary studies and research, innovations and to pay special attention to the improvement of educational conditions of all the students within the University.

Our rich tribal language and culture are known all over the world. We shall make special provision and provide research facilities in tribal art, tradition, culture, heritage medicinal system, forest based economic activities etc.

We shall make necessary steps to obtain 12B status from the UGC. However, accreditation by NAAC & top rank in NIRF shall be our top priority. I solicit co-operation and helping hand from all to make the dreams true with their incredible contributions.
