About Department
The University Department of Physics at Kolhan University offers postgraduate programs in Physics i.e. two years of Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics and Ph.D. programme in various fields of Physics for higher education.
The department is staffed with experienced and qualified faculty members who have expertise in various fields of Physics, such as condensed matter physics, nuclear physics, and theoretical physics etc. Faculties work to provide quality education to students, including both theoretical knowledge and practical training through well-equipped laboratory experiments and research projects in various areas of Physics. The Physics department may also collaborate with other departments, institutions, and industry partners to foster interdisciplinary research and innovation. The Physics department commemorates national and international scientific events on various significant days as well.
Aims & Objective:
The University Department of Physics was established in 2009 with the following objectives:
- Encouraging students to achieve their educational goals to the best of their potential
- Promoting the holistic development of resilience, determination, confidence, and creative thinking
- Developing leadership skills by organizing workshops and various competitions
- Enabling students to share their knowledge in various group activities and offer adynamic, interactive environment that engages students in the learning process
- Provide constructive feedback to promote student self- assessment and motivation
- Effective use of laboratories and technology to create and sustain access to learning
- Provide scientific programs that lead to the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary to achieve career advancement.
In 2009, the Physics Department, KU was established with the aim of supporting students in achieving their academic goals to the best of their ability. The department also strives to foster the holistic development of qualities such as resilience, determination, confidence, and creative thinking among students. To this end, it organizes workshops and competitions that help students develop leadership skills. Moreover, the department encourages students to participate in group activities that create a dynamic, interactive learning environment. It provides constructive feedback to promote student self-assessment and motivation, and makes effective use of laboratories and technology to facilitate access to learning. Finally, the department offers scientific programs that equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for career advancement.
